A typical Crown reduction is carried out to reduce the overall size and spread of the tree. The operation should be carried out by pruning the tips of each branch back to a suitable branch union in a manner to create a balanced shape and outline.

The removal of dead wood and crossing/split branches within the crown. Often done for health and safety reasons as well as for aesthetics.

The removal of all of a trees growth back to the “pollard knuckles” We recommend every 3-5 years depending on species. Doing it on a rotation like this makes it quicker, easier and more affordable in the long term.

At Wardens we provide Safe and controlled removal of the tree, either in small sections or if possible felled in one and cut up once on the ground. The stumps will always be cut as low to the ground as practically possible.
